The healthy functioning of a relationship is dependent on the state of mind of each person in the relationship. The primary objective in my work with couples and individuals is to improve the overall state of mind of one or both parties involved in the relationship.

I have seen a steady flow of clients who have innocently become stuck in unhappy marriages as a result of negative habits and patterns that have been built up over time. I have found that by deepening peoples understanding of the fundamental principles behind our mental lives, they are able to avoid these negative patterns from occurring and then they recapture the intimacy, connection, communication and love that were lying dormant beneath the surface of their relationship.

How is this different from other types of counseling?

I use an educational approach to the psychological process through which I teach people about the power behind human psychological functioning. This understanding enables my clients to live their lives with more contentment, greater connection to others, and less struggle in the face of adversity.

If the problems have existed for so long, can the couple still be helped?
Positive results are dependent on at least one of the people in the relationship being willing to learn and to seek help. How long a problem has been around is not a factor for this therapeutic process to be successful.

How long does the process take?

This educational process is short term – it simply does not take a long time. One of the side benefits is that couples now have the clarity and wisdom to resolve their own issues in the future as they arise.
